Nana's World

Nana's world, mundane as it is most of the time... comes alive when my PEEPS come to visit.
Trying to record life as it is for the little ones to know us better in years to come.

Grandpa is ready to go back.

Grandpa really liked fishing with Uncle Dave in the Ten Thousand Island waterways.  This is very south of Naples, more likely in the Everglades area.  It is great this time of year, but Nana would not want to be there in the summer when it is hot and there are a billion mosquitos.  The mannitees are in the canals where the water is warmer.  They actually die off if the water is colder than 65 degrees.  Maybe they should swim to the Carribean!  Not sure why Uncle Dave and Aunt Julie like the area.  It is very warm most of the year.  It is only cold in December and early January.    Naples is a very large area, actually the whole county is considered Naples.  Weird.  Condos everywhere.  Or RV parks.  Not sure which one would be right for us.  I vote condo.  Hard to be away from the children.  Looking forward to maybe visiting here and the kids visiting us too.  Anyone have a crystal ball?

  1. I have a magic 8 ball on my blog. I would move to Florida in a New York minute if it were..... okay Michigan, but winter really stinks so I want to move there at the moment.
